摘要：H.U. von Balthasar抯 Philosophy of being is a metaphysics that meditates on the 搈iracle of being? namely that 搒omething exists instead of nothing? This paper begins with a summary of the overview von Balthasar himself gave of his metaphysics towards the end of its life in Epilogue (1987) and A Résumé of My Thought (1988). It then divides his metaphysics into four parts: the fourfold difference that permits an entry into the mystery of being; the description of this mystery; the 搗alue?of being as expressed in the transcendentals; and, finally, the analogia entis et fidei and love as ultimate response to the mystery of being.
