摘要：The present essay offers an outline of patristic teaching on the general notion of inspiration of Sacred Scripture. Original texts of the Fathers are drawn upon heavily, since modern scholarship has largely abandoned this field of research and secondary literature is scant. This second essay (of two) focuses in the first place on the Antiochian school of thought and secondly on the doctrine on inspiration in the most important Latin Fathers, principally Ambrose, Jerome, and Augustine.
