摘要:The need is discussed to develop, within the scope of conservation-restoration, a
methodology that incorporates and evidences throughout the entire process, the dialogue
between the many views and interests associated with the perception and uses of cultural
heritage.
Concepts such as heritage value, community and valorization are approached
from a critical point of view, with the understanding that cultural objects are the result
of the interaction between society and its material productions. With this idea in mind,
we propose to understand the conservation diagnosis as the moment of evidencing
the form in which the transformation and deterioration of heritage objects express the
tensions between different valorizations and interests that different actors exercise and the
relationships established among them. For this reason, we believe that the conservation
proposals must fundamentally be aimed at the preservation of the set of attributes and
uses that manifest the values, while making visible the disputes and tensions among the
strategic actors that cause the deterioration processes.
