摘要：The aim of this study was verify conduct of dentists that actuate on 37 cities localized on northeast portion of São Paulo State, about use
of ICD-10 to emit odontological attestation. Dental surgeon that works on public service received a questioner self-administrative with
questions about ICD-10. Among 309 dentists, 124 (40.1%) answered questions. The results showed that 119 (96.0%) of dental surgeon relate emit odontological attestation and 35 (28.2%) of them, didn’t had the ICD-10 on dentist’s office or on company that work. Moreover, 28 (25.9%) related to have difficulty to fit odontological procedure in ICD-10. Although 110 (88.7%) of dental surgeon understand important the ICD-10 use, just 21 (22.3%) link the correct use with legal necessity
to justify the worker failure. The conclusion was there is necessity of professional’s knowledge about real importance the use of ICD-10 to
correct emission of odontological attestation.
