摘要:Medical practices and other healthcare providers are frequently reluctant to use
medical records in marketing as a result of misconceptions regarding HIPAA law.
Healthcare providers should have no qualms about using medical records or offering a
service such as email for communication with patients for fear of violating HIPAA. Their
concerns should lie only within the concerns for ethical online marketing, albeit with a
greater sensitivity for how patients might react to usage of what is considered by many
to be very private information
