摘要：The seek of alternatives to the economic growth, in specifics moments from the national and international economy, has been a present concerning during the last years. It’s trying to find a new standard of economic growth in the states and cities which can receive benefits from the historical experiences of the region of developing that is called Arco Alpino, which the main areas have showed the best results of the PIB and the job taxes between the Europe macro regions. It’s related to a group of companies located in a small space in the geographic point of view, that work direct or indirectly, to the same final market, that share values and knowledge so important who defines a cultural environment; and they are specifically interconnected in a mix of competition and cooperation. This is an example what some books call clusters. The existence of these clusters seem to be the highest level of productive development which has appeared in books following an “order” perceived in a kind of clear way, that is: an specialized agglomeration; a local productive arrange; a productive local system, and finally, a cluster. The objective of this study is try to understand the principles concepts of each one of the phases mentioned before. In a second moment, to make a brief review of the methodological aspects involved in the present theme, having as a point of view accomplish an attempt of identifying the industry clusters in the south region industry of transformation. The principle matter is: Can the agglomeration industry of Brazil be classified as clusters? In which section are they? In which cities are they located?
