摘要：The action of copying or of appropriating improperly of intellectual works is happening for a long time. However, with the coming of the Internet, the plagiarism became a practice still more common in the academic world, being necessary to evaluate the theme with more depth. As a form to obtain a diagnosis, this study has as central objective to verify how students of postgraduate degree notice the plagiarism, besides evaluating their knowledge on the Brazilian Law of Copyrights and other subjects related to the accomplishment of academic works. The answers were obtained through a questionnaire, correspondent for academics from eight groups of a private superior education institution, located in the West of Paraná. The results found are very concerned, because the academics of postgraduate degree affirm that the plagiarism is a crime, but they demonstrated unpreparedness and lack of knowledge for a correct elaboration of works
