摘要：This paper works the concepts of “common sense”, “scientific object” and
“epistemological break” in Bourdieu's senses in “
”. Those tools allow us to think and to build our scientific object: the
gymnastics and how different meanings are built from common sense and from scientific
preconceptions.
As a tool to build our social and analytical categories we will use the cartoon series “The
Simpson”. The justification for this resource for common-sense analysis is,
first, because it exposes ways around gymnastics that are feasible to be analyzed
scientifically; and, second, it works as a mirror of the society. This is, ,
"The Simpson" are producers of ideas, practices and knowledge that circulates inWestern
andWesternized societies of the past 20 years, as well as they are reproducers.
