This article aims to explore Jürgen Moltmann’s thought concerning the world religions dialogue. For this purpose are considered, besides his analysis of the historical western influences on inter-religious relation, the questioning that this author does about the position of the relativistic theology of religions in terms of inter-religious dialogue, as well as his suggestions regarding the conditions and characteristics of an appropriate dialogue. In this sense, there is an emphasis in the practice of the indirect dialogue, in which the interlocutors, instead of discussing subjects about themselves, they consider practical questions in order to promote life.
