The increasing dispute around the journalistic narratives - and the consequent use of them - has provoked some theoretical and practical mistakes. At times, one can observe quick and inappropriate generalizations; at another times, one sees reductionism as to their role in the field of the journalistic production. In face of such provocation, it is our intention to develop a reflection that can contribute to the magnifying of the discussion around the subject. We then present some perceptions regarding such mistakes – which we call half-truths. Based on them, we consider the construction of narratives as a space for a humanized journalism. As a conclusion, we bring our understanding and some references coherent with this theoretical line.
