摘要：Here are documented ecological aspects related to the nonsuccessful nesting of the Spot-flanked Gallinule ( Gallinula melanops ) in a channel of pluvial drainage hydric connected to the “ Jaboque ” wetland (Bogotá, Colombia). Data are described about: (1) egg number, aspect and morphology in the nest; (2) parental behavior and (3) dimensions, composition and structure of the nest. The possible causes that generate the failure in nesting of the specie in the site: there are several antropic factors and predation of eggs, furthermore, here considers the problems about conservation state of the endangered specie in the region
