摘要：Detailed knowledge of the avifauna in a region provides a useful baseline to examine temporal changes in their conservation status. The objective of this article is to expand the list of birds in the municipality of Manizales published by J.C.Verhelst and collaborators in 2001. We present new information on the presence of 175 species, of which 26 are new for the list. The total number of species reported in Manizales increases from 412 to 439. We also present information about the avifauna at four new localities and evidence of geographic or altitudinal range extensions of 19 species.
