摘要：The aim of this paper is to present a process analysis of primary school students’ research skills having given them
a chance to interrogate a problem they have selected upon their wish which was followed by collecting resources and information
to reach sensible conclusions. To do that, the students were asked to carry out a scientific study on a topic in which they are
interested and their research processes were observed along with collecting the possible problems ages that could be faced by
them in relation to their ages. Having collected all of the information about these processes, the developed lesson plans were
shared within the limits of this paper. Incorporating the views of students, parents, and teachers, this study found that all these
participants developed positive views about the process. Similarly, the relationship between students’ self-regulation and research
skills was found to be quite high ( r= .702, n= 225, P < 0.01). Hence, it can be stated that students with high self-regulation skill
can be accepted as attaining research skills in a more successful manner.
