摘要：Among the strategies used in solving mathematical problems, the use of visual representation has been defined as one of the most effective strategies. The history of Maths has provided a generous content to the use of visual representations in solving word problems. In this study, it has been given examples to the use of visual representations during the course of solving word problems from the history of Maths and the effectiveness of visual representation during this course has been tried to be examined.
