摘要：This study is designed to use an expert panel consultation method, such as the Delphi Method,
to validate the adaptation of the Questionnaire for the Analysis of Prior
Experiences in Water-Based Activities (Moreno, 2005) to identify experiences of and
interest in aquatic activities, paying special attention to Windsurfi ng. The study is a response
to the interest shown by those in charge of managing municipal leisure, recreation and
sports activities in developing a Municipal Tourist Development plan based on sports events
at the coastal resort of Santa Pola (Alicante). It seemed logical to carry out a pilot study to
identify said experiences among Primary school children aged from 8 to 12 and Secondary
School/Vocational Training students (13 to 18) as possible consumers of these kinds of
activities. All of this is backed up by the excellent climate enjoyed by the municipality the
whole year round. After reviewing the literature on experiences in the water-based activities
fi eld, we agreed to modify Moreno’s (2005) existing questionnaire and adapt it for our
particular study. To this end, we decided to use the Delphi Method, as it is regarded as an
effective and reliable tool.
