摘要：The objective of this study is to identify different subgroups of companies which have different
priorities of cooperation and interaction within a cluster of jewelry sector. Based upon this, it
analyzes and proposes alternatives to the lack of integration and cooperation of industrial firms
in a cluster. To accomplish this goal, are examined functional relationships between internal
and cluster factors. The results indicated the need for strategic actions by firms to seize local
opportunities in order to promote the innovation of products and processes. It was found that
integration and cooperation are essential for development of cluster as favoring the better use of
local resources and reduces transaction costs, with influence by the support of governments,
research institutions and local leadership. Based on this analysis, we suggested important issues
to the regulatory and support organizations, which aim to develop an integrated management
system in the cluster. These organizations should promote cooperation in the productive
system, considering different management styles, and different interests of each group that
composes the cluster.
