摘要：Just as in the whole world, poverty is a social problem that can not be ignored in Turkey and it has become very fundamental issue to be solved urgently. The aim of this paper is to analyze the determinants of household poverty level for Turkey, urban and rural area. Logit model is employed in the analysis performed by using 2004 Household Budget Survey Data conducted by Turkish Statistical Institute. The results indicate that the most important determinants of poverty are working activity, working position and working status of household head, and the household size.
