摘要:ABSTRACT. This study was aimed to investigate the primary school teachers’ self-efficacy for teaching profession and
job satisfactions in terms of demographic factors. In this research, correlational and comparative survey methods were
used. The population consisted of 705 teachers who worked at state and private primary schools in Kdz. Ereğli,
Zonguldak, TURKEY in 2007-2008. The sample was 373 teachers randomly selected among the population. In this
study, data were collected by the long form of “Teachers’ Sense of Efficacy Scale” developed by Tschannen-Moran &
Woolfolk Hoy (2001) and the short form of “Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire”. For sense of efficacy and job
satisfactions no differences were found between teachers in terms of gender and graduated schools while significant
differences were found in terms of teaching experience and branch. Findings suggested the positive and low relationship
between primary school teachers’ demografic factors, self-efficacy and job satisfactions.
