摘要:ABSTRACT: In this study, it is intended to determine skills of the students who studied in mathematics and
mathematics education programs in the subject of acquiring the sum of two terms in the square simulation by
using their knowledge in problems of velocity. For this purpose, seven open-ended questions were addressed
the students. By means of giving points to the answers which was given each question, the total points of the
students have been determined. The achievements of students were compared on the basis of faculty in the first
stage and then on the basis of class in the second stage. In the comparison, SPSS 15.0 package programme was
used. The results acquired via one-way ANOVA and Scheffe tests indicated that students of Faculty of
Education are more successful on the basis of faculty students whereas the 4th class students of Primary
Education programme in Faculty of Education are more successful on the basis of classes.
