摘要：This article is a short, and inevitably incomplete, account of articles on astronomy and space science in Portuguese newspapers during the last quarter of the 20th century. It gives some insight into the social and science policy at that time and helps explain and put in context the changing patterns in newspaper coverage of astronomy and space science in Portugal.
