摘要：This note examines extensively Martin Hengel´s recent publication “The Septuagint as Christian Scripture” (Edinburgh – New York 2002). Specific weight is given to questions regarding the canon and inspiration. Against a position insinuated by Hengel the necessity for a clearly demarcated Old Testament canon is defended according to the understanding of Catholic theology .
