摘要：The present article intends to approach some of the most typical features of a nun´s life, her everyday routines, the way she deals with the upheavals derived from the revolutionary religious events that took place along the first modern centuries (XVI-XVII), and the elements that shaped her survival inside the walls of a convent. We will deal with different points that are specially relevant to understand her behaviour and her survival, starting with why she joined the convent, her lifestyle and conduct in the cloister, up to the reasons of whom for and what for the nuns do what they do. We will also study the role played by the confessor.
