摘要:The aim of this paper is to report an organizational intervention focused on the awareness of the organizational culture. Our starting hypothesis, configuring all the intervention, highlights the idea that the organization’s practice is held from a “learning culture”, typical of what has been labelled as "learning organization" (Schein, 1997; Sun, 2003; Senge, 2005; Fernandes, 2007). From this point of view, there is the need to draw attention to process, in its active, situated, collaborative and reflective form (Sun, 2003).
To decide the paper’s structure, some readings and authors have been useful, particularly the ones that use the jazz metaphor to talk about organizational improvisation and creativity (Kamoche, Cunha & Cunha, 2000; Pina e Cunha, 2002). We thought this very inspiring because the contemporary world seems to demand the emergence of learning organizations that are able to play like jazz bands (within structure and improvisation).
The results of the carried out intervention, illustrated by the actors’ own words, show the paths that can be taken to accomplish development and change within this particular organization. We argue that the conscious awareness of the organizational culture by its members is a necessary condition to implement change, because that is built on genuine commitment and compliance, important to accomplish objectives and tasks
