摘要：Technological advances and the massive use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) have transformed the way of living of subjects in contemporary societies, at a speed unmatched in the past. So it isn’t difficult to recognize that the use of ICT brought benefits to the distribution of Information, speed of interpersonal communication, knowledge acquirement, development of personal relationships, among other aspects of lives of children, young people and adults of the twenty-first century.
Within the class of Educational Communication and Media Teaching Materials (ECMTM), teaching in the undergraduate program in Childhood Education, at the Higher School of Education of Santarém (HSES), we had the opportunity to develop a project that had the objective of sensitizing parents, kindergarten teachers and higher education students about the dangers of the use of ICT in general and the Internet in particular, promoting joint moments of reflection on good practices to be adopted.
This work brings us the conviction that there is still a long way to run in alerting teachers and educators to be concerned about the way they use the Internet and take care of their computers, since young people are frequent users of ICT, but have difficulties when it comes to caution their exposure to network; they have also difficulty in respecting and caring for their personal security and of their computers, although our participants have tried to give a different idea, more informed and clarified than what we saw in the reality in workshop discussions.
