  • 摘要:The present article brings the results of an investigation witch first purpose was to analyze the scientific production of students who entered the Post graduation Program in Education of the Science and Technology College from Paulista State University between the years of 2001 and 2004 (PPGE – FCT/UNESP) and presented until the year 2006, which was the fifth anniversary of the program. The dissertations were analyzed according to their main themes, methodological procedures, research techniques, and the goals of those papers. After this stage the need of verifying among the ex-students the impact of a post graduation program in their lives emerged. It was needed to measure it both in the personal and in the professional field. The data were collected through electronic mail. The investigation allowed us to observe and confirm previous data that pointed to the fact that the knowledge production in the educational field is marked by a complexity that defines the educational phenomenon itself, since this phenomenon is characterized by the confluence of various disciplines. In the specific case of the dissertations produced in the PPGE – FCT/UNESP there are particular areas, such as: curriculum, teaching and learning, teachers’ training, and there are also issues approaching cultural matters, language aspects and social movements. We believe that the diversity that defines the Educational field and proved by this analysis is caused by the difficulty of establishing Education’s identity as a scientific and knowledge production area. Because of that it is very common to find theoretical hybridism while analyzing educational researches, fact that can be considered either positive or not. According to the analysis of the impact of the program in their lives, the wholeness of the ex-students considered that the lives experiences provided by the program caused a significant qualitative and positive changes either on the personal and professional fields and could be considered as a “landmark” in their journeys
