摘要:This study aims to describe an enhancement process in the field of pedagogical practice supervision, identifying interaction as the key element in the child learning and development process. It seeks to understand how practice and its supervision contribute to the student’s professional development. The primary goal is to identify supervision strategies concerning teacher-child interactions. This is a case study, focusing on a supervision intervention process. The methodology included the use of the Adult Engagement Scale (Pascal & Bertram, 1999) and data collected through participant and natural observation combining quantitative and qualitative methodologies in order to capture the essence of the educational phenomenon. The case study was developed in two classrooms of a public preschool in a rural area, with forty-four children, two preschool teachers and four trainees of the Early Childhood Education Course. By focusing essentially on the teacher-child interaction we can conclude that the instruments used in this study can constitute good supervision strategies promoting the improvement of the quality of educational action. The changing process resulting from this supervision methodology seemed to have contributed to the personal and professional development of both teachers and students. Therefore, this study may be a contribution to those involved in the initial training of educators.
