摘要:Plurilingualism and identity in Indian youths from Chaco, Argentina. Ideological perspectives about language, have viewed youths as well as information and communication technologies as negative agents when one of the languages in contact is threatened of disappearing. This paper report preliminary results of a research in progress on the use of Indian languages and Spanish among youths from Chaco, Northern Argentina, South America. It aims to describe youth multilingual practices, including those which involve the use of information and communication technologies, in order to discuss the relations among languages, identity and cultural practices in youth schooling. Results involve linguistic uses among higher education students who will teach intercultural bilingual education to other aboriginal youths. The corpus include records of interviews, discussion groups, informal conversation among these students, interviews with faculty members, observations, films on class activities and responses to self-evaluation questionnaires on language competencies and uses. These data involve four languages and their different variations. Preliminary conclusions suggest that communicational practices among subjects are related to three kinds of “transgressions”: as results of evaluation, including educational evaluation; as interactional orientation for understanding multilingual practices, and as standards featuring writing particular uses among youths.
