ABSTRACT: Sérgio Buarque de Holanda devoted themselves to their concept of "human Cordial," his historical work is marked by concern and centrality in the study of the brazilian people, their social, cultural and political. Accordingly, we ask ourselves: Which their participation in the brazilian modernist movement? In order to answer these questions, this article examines the correlation of Sérgio Buarque de Holanda in the 1920s, as one of the articulators of the modernist magazine Klaxon.
