摘要:The purpose of this paper is a discussion of the role of foreign languages in the
integrated high school. In order to overcome the duality between a general culture
in contrast to a technician culture, which is one of the objectives of the integrated
high school, this paper presents a critical and interdisciplinary educational
proposal for English classes in a farming and cattle-raising course. The discussion
points out the contribution of critical foreign language teaching which promotes
the students’ social and political engagement in the world of work, in order to
understand it and seek other possible realities.
