摘要:The aim of the research is to determine prospective teachers’ views about problems in the Turkish educational system. The research is a survey model study. The research group consists of 91 volunteer prospective teachers attending Faculty of Education, Dumlupınar University. The participants are asked to define the most crucial five problems in the Turkish education system in writing and explain those issues in a justifiable way. Descriptive analysis technique is used for data analysis. According to the prospective teachers included in the study, the most crucial problems in the Turkish educational system are as follows respectively: Central examinations, crowded classrooms, rote learning, insufficient equipment and physical structures, quality of the currently employed teachers, unfair access to education, politics (ideological discrimination and favoritism), and appointment of teachers, private teaching institutions, finance and vocational training issues.
