The 11th Annual Convention of the Japanese Association of Educational Psychology was held at Hiroshima Women's College, on October 9-11, 1969. The Chairman was Prof.M.Miyoshi, Hiroshima University. Three hundred and forty-four regular members, forty-six temporary members, and twenty-two student members participated in the Convention. One hundred and seventy-four studies were presented by regular members in fourteen division: theorem, development(childhood & adolescence), learning, thinking, measurement, teaching curricula, achievement, intelligence-creativity, personality, counselling, school-friend-family, community-culture, and feeble-minded-verbal defect. A bulletin containing the summaries of those studies was distributed to each member beforehand. Two symposia under the titles of "Problems in Educational evaluation" and "Problems about retarded students" were conducted. Professor Tadashi Hidano and Prof.Seiichi Kuraishi presided over each one of these discussions. Their brief summaries are found in this volume. In the international communication program Professor D.Cartwright of Research Center for Group Dynamics, University of Michigan gave a lecture with the title of "Group Dynamics and Education-the perspective of research and practice in the U.S.A."
