The 17th Annual Convention of the Japanese Association of Fducational Psychology was held at Miyagi University of Education on September10-13, 1975. The chairman of the Convention was Prof. S. Komuro, Miyagi University of Education. Five hundred and Fifty-seven regular members, eighty seven temporary members and twenty seven student members participated in the Convention. Three hundred and seventeen studies were presented by regular members in seven divisions; 1)Methodology, 2)Development, 3)Personality, 4)Social psychology, 5)Learning, 6)Measurement and Evaluation, 7)Clinical Psychology. Summaries of those studies in a bulletin were distributed to each member beforehand. Two special researches were reported; 1) "The problems of the relational apprehension in cognitive development of infants" by T. Shirai. 2) "A motional study of the children suffered from cerebral palsy" by G. Naruse. Four symposia and three additional symposia, which were iniciated by the proposals of members, were conducted under the following titles; Problems in Arithmetic education Problems in Art education Problems in Language education Relationships between playing and learning A psycholinguistical study of the development of speech and language in the early childhood A perspective of adolescent psychology Problems in testing and evaluation in education Their brief summaries are found in this volume
