The 18th Annual Convention of the Japanese Educational Psychology was held at Saitama University, Urawa City, Saitama Prefecture, from Octover 4 to 6, 1976, under the auspices of the College o( Education, Saitama University. Prof. S. Nagashima, the Department of Psychology served as president of the Convention. The total registration of participants numberd 936, including regular, temporary and student members. The academic program consited of the following sessions : (1) Forty seven individual submitted paper sessions. The number of the individual submitted papers totaled 354 and they were presented by regular members according to 7 divisions of psychology. (2) Three symposia organized by the Convention Committe. (3) The special session organized by the Research Committee of Japanese Association of Educational Psychology. Prof. T. Shirai was invited to chair the symposium concerning the recent trends of developmental psychology. Prof. H. Azuma was also invited to report the joint American-Japanese study of child development conduced in both countries. (4) Six Symposia organized by volunteer regular members and accepted by the Convention Committe. The collected abstracts of papers presented (Proceedings of the 18th Annual Convention of Japanese Association of Educational Psychology), was published and distributed to the regular members in advance of the Convention. Here in this Annual Report are found the reports summarized by the regular members who acted as chairmen in the individual submitted paper sessions, the special session and symposia sessions.
