The aim of this study was to assess the involvement of both middle class and upper middle class parents in their children's education. Semi-structured interviews were carried out with 21 parents whose children attend private schools. The analysis of the results has revealed that, because they are deeply involved in their children's learning, parents are willing to take an active part in teaching their kids positive values as well as the importance of discipline. Some suggestions have been made for the school to develop an effective school-parent partnership, establishing symmetrical relationships and co-responsibility with parents, and maintaining an open-mind dialogue around children's problems.
