摘要:In this article, we analyze the empirical evidence related to the double discrimination
of women with disabilities in Spain. Our database is the European Community
Household Panel for the period 1995-2001.The wage equations show evidence sup-
porting only some aspects of the double discrimination hypothesis. We find that there
is not wage discrimination based on disability for people without daily activities limi-
tations, but gender discrimination feeds disability discrimination. In addition, gender
discrimination is more intense for disabled women. Finally, we estimate the employ-
ment effects of the wage discrimination and they are relatively small (as previous lite-
rature shows for other countries).
