摘要:The primary research question addressed in this paper is: What ISLLC 2008 Standards ―functions‖ are
considered to be the most important by a national sample of school superintendents when applied to
the process of principal evaluation?
A Friedman Test for related samples on the Standards ―functions‖ determined that the five most
important ―functions‖ that influence a national cross section of superintendents when evaluating
principals are: Be an advocate for children (VI); Model principles of ethical behavior (V); Promote
and protect the welfare and safety of students (III); Nurture and sustain a culture of learning (II);
Implement a plan to achieve the school’s goals (I); Nurture and sustain a culture of high expectations
(II).
