摘要：This text aims to present the results of the grammatical contents comparisons in textbooks approved by the National Program of Textbook for the Secondary / High School Education (PNLEM) and indicated by the Brazilian government as suitable for the Portuguese teacher’s didactic use in public schools. We appeal to elements such as definition, exemplification, illustration, and exercises that allowed us to conclude the extent to which these materials deviate from the more traditional teaching and to what extent they approach the new National Curriculum Plan (PCN), which sets as a starting point for the study of text and genres.
