摘要:The narratives produced by teachers – one of them Portuguese – and by a teacher educator about their learning and didactic performances in investigative activities in mathematics lessons, reveals indications of their constitution and professional development, and composes a process of pedagogical reflection that allows the authors to understand the consequences of their performance and to create new didactic strategies. We try to understand, through these narratives of education, the relations between practice and knowledge, that is, to reveal how the process of knowledge production happens; the relation between inquiry and practice; what is learned when mathematical lessons are investigated and mathematical explorations/investigation are proposed in the class. In a qualitative approach, the collection and the analysis of data were based on studies that take the production of narrative texts as a process of pedagogical reflection. The professional development of the teachers, revealed in the narratives, includes feelings of going forward and backward that reflect the moments and the contexts that they were and allow reflections that go beyond the ones related to their action as mathematics teachers
