  • 摘要:Hydrographic basin management in Brazil began with the National Program for Hydrographic Microbasins (1987), and later with the National Program for Water Resources (1997), which established the National Policy for Hydric Resources and created the National System for the Management of Hydric Resources, which culminated in the formulation of propositions for improving this sort of management in the country. The objective of this work was to update the cartographic base map, roads, locations and infrastructure, as well as to update the drainage network map and to delimit the hydrographic subbasins of Camará, PB, Brazil. The hydrographic basin of Camará represents a class 5 basin and presents itself with a subparallel dendritic tree-like drainage pattern. The base map was created on a 1:85,000 scale and the update was carried out based on a field survey by means of 350 georeferenced points for area observation and description and by using the CBERS satellite image. Thirty-five locations distributed along five municipalities were listed, with an increase of 61.3 km of roads, from 68.8 km to130.1 km. The complete extension of drainage channels totalized 194.4 km, 122,2 km of which were added by this research. The subbasins that contribute directly to it are the class 1 basins Riacho do Pinga, Riacho Vista Alegre, Riacho Camará and Riacho do Boi, which correspond to 12.8%, 3.3%, 55.2% and 28.7% of the whole Camará hydrographic basin area respectively. Thus, the division and update proposed in this research will make the management of this hydrographic basin easier.
