摘要:The main objective of this work was to analyze the efficiency of Vegetation Suppressing Tool, present in software ENVI 4.4. Vegetation Suppressing was applied to Landsat TM orbital images in order to identify different homogeneous arboreal groups associated to forestry. This tool was applied to four groups of Landsat TM images of 2007 that cover the region of Tibagi river basin (orbit/point 221/77, 221/78, 222/76, 222/77). Images were classified using the method of maximum verisimilitude (MAXVER). The different groups identified in the image were verified in field survey, in 20 points of Telêmaco Borba region that were predetermined in laboratory. This result indicates that the images resulting from the application of Vegetation Suppressing Tool were efficient in the identification of forestry, presenting enhancement of forestry targets and making possible the differentiation between the two genera Pinus sp. and Eucalyptus sp. The tool used was also effective in identification of small stands of forestry in areas with native forest.
