摘要:Over a two-year period, monthly field sampling of Chironomus flaviplumus larvae in Korea demonstrated that this chironomid is bivoltine with one peak of adult emergence from early April to early June and another from early September to early October. Laboratory rearing enabled a characterization of life cycle stages. The average number of eggs per deposited mass was 771 ± 14. At 26.5 °C, eggs began to hatch within two days of oviposition, and the life cycle was completed within 30–40 days.
