摘要：In 2005 the Commission of Lithuanian Language initiated the Recommendation where the adjustment to the norms of accentuation of suffixal verbs was proposed. In order to ascertain how these changes are maintained by the real usage, the research into the suffixal verbs that norms of accentuation were adjusted was accomplished in three different regions of Lithuania. 600 of people participated in the research (200 from each region). In this work the results of the research are presented, analysed and assessed. The biggest part of the proposals by the Commission of Lithuanian Language is maintained by the real usage. The problematic cases are posed in the article, the recommendations to revise the norm of accentuation of some suffixal verbs in the future are given regarding the requirements of systematicity and the tendencies of the real usage.
