摘要:Changes initiated over 10 years ago in Qu¨¦bec aimed at easing the organizational
functioning of educational institutions by developing the professional auto -
nomy of school personnel. Here we are interested in whether the latest reforms have
helped or hindered the updating of distributed leadership in schools. Based on quantitative
and case studies, the article comes up with two answers. On one hand, the
organizational reforms seem to have provided favourable conditions for the distribution
of influence in the schools and for the development of co-responsibility in
mana ging the establishments, but on the other hand, the analysis of the principals¡¯
real activities shows that there are many obstacles to updating distributed leadership,
which the article attempts to identify and interpret.
