摘要：This article reports the results of a condition assessment project on historical
earth architecture carried out by an earth architectural specialist team who visited
one of the most affected areas after the February 27th, 2010 Chilean earthquake.
This kind of architecture is considered as an important chapter within the national
heritage. The condition and performance of the different architectural, building and
structural typologies were assess in stu, aiming to raise a number of considerations and
recommendations that can explain the damage causes, guide for future interventions
and basically to reflect about the seismic resistance of earth various building techniques.
