摘要：Recent radio VLBI studies of the morphology and kinematics of individual BL Lac objects (e.g., 1803+784) have revealed a different kinematic scenario for these objects. Most, if not all, jet components appear to be stationary with respect to the core, while exhibiting strong changes in their position angles. We use the Caltech-Jodrell Bank flat-spectrum sample to test this new scheme, in particular probing a possible difference between BL Lac and quasar properties.
