摘要：Active galaxies in an X-ray weak state, when the direct power law component is significantly diminished, provide the opportunity to study the nature of the other continuum components in unprecedented detail. Narrow-line Seyfert 1 galaxies (NLS1s) are regularly caught in an X-ray weak state and consequently are excellent laboratories to study these underlying spectral components. In this work we explore the general characteristics of X-ray weak AGNs and examine two such objects, PHL 1092 and PG 0844+349, in detail.
