摘要:The particle production in proton-proton collisions in the forward region is studied with the LHCb detector. Charged particle multiplicities are measured in different bins of pseudorapidity η at a centre-of-mass energy of p s = 7TeV and compared with model predictions. In general, the models underestimate the charged particle production significantly. The ratios Λ=Λ and Λ=KS had been measured at centre-of-mass energies of p s = 0:9TeV and p s = 7TeV. The ratio Λ=Λ, sensitive to baryon number transport is found to be smaller in data than predicted by the models, while the ratio Λ=KS, sensitive to baryon-to-meson suppression is found to be significantly larger than predicted. The differential cross-section for inclusive Φ meson production at a centre-of- mass energy of p s = 7TeV has been measured as a function of the Φ transverse momentum pT and rapidity y in the region 0:6 < pT < 5:0GeV=c and 2:44 < y < 4:06. The cross-section in this kinematic range is σ (pp!ΦX) = 175819(stat)+43 14(syst)182(scale)μb. Predictions based on the Pythia 6.4 generator underestimate the cross-section.
