摘要：Two academic libraries in North Carolina replicated the Perceptions of Libraries and Information Resources global survey. This paper examines whether student responses in this survey are similar to the 2005 OCLC study and whether they are similar to each other. The authors examine potential reasons for similarities and differences, including student body profile, institutional differences in library services and demographic factors. The findings indicate that local factors dramatically affect the responses and should drive local service decisions rather than relying on global aggregate data.
