摘要：During the last fifty years, the world has witnessed important changes; in particular, information and communication technology (ICT) has brought a revolution in every sphere of life. Using ICT, libraries have not only observed remarkable changes in their daily operations and services, but also identified a new and active role for librarians. Automation or computerization is an important application of ICT in libraries. It facilitates speedy library operations, services, and access to and delivery of information.
