摘要：The purpose of this study is to define and discuss the related concepts, tools and techniques of lean production system- a widely used manufacturing strategy. This paper basically introduces the most basic lean tools and techniques necessary to understand this management philosophy and reap its full benefits. Since the term associated with lean practice pose problems of definition and concept, it is therefore deemed necessary to outline the basic elements connected with the lean production. This study is an overview of the conceptual framework of lean. A desk study was conducted to gather relevant information in this regard.
